PACScenter – what’s new?

In the last months, BMD has implemented new updates to the PACScenter. The software was refined, from minor changes as functionality optimizations to bigger updates like the addition of the Free MPR tool and Cobb Angle. Check some information about these updates:

  • Free MPR tool

Besides the already available MPR tools, such as the MPR Pointer and MPR Orthogonal, PACScenter now has a new advanced MPR functionality, the free MPR tool. This tool will allow physicians to generate 2D slices with different view angles from an original series. Additionally, there is also a 3D view mode available when this tool is enabled. • Cobb Angle

We updated the software in order to facilitate the work of the professional, with New annotations being implemented. Cobb Angle is added to PACScenter, representing a very useful feature since it allows to measure the curvature of the spine in degrees which help the doctor to determine what type of treatment is necessary. Find out more about this in the video below:

      • Other updates

We added a DVD/CD Reader at the Web PACS. Our solution now allows to open CD/DVD that patients bring to medical consultation.

In addition, the memory consumption on the “MPR Orthogonal” functionality was optimized, as well as the Web Cache, the access control to resources (RBAC) for the CD/Uploader functionality and the database access. Minor issues related to the Context Menu were also corrected.
