Since October 2018, BMD provides a new cloud service to facilitate biomedical research.
The solution is a computational environment mediated by strong access control mechanisms and is hosting several key tools for data analysis:
- ETL (extract, transform, load)
- Protection (safeguard the data)
- Analytics (use statisctic tools to explore the data)
- Sharing (share the study results instead of sharing datasets)
The main goal is to free the researcher from all the tasks that are needed, before clinical data can be analysed.
In one of its applications, the platform is used by several European companies and academias to help identify predictors of Alzheimer’s Disease in the pre-clinical and prodromal phase.
