Extending PACScenter to facilitate the detection of microcalcifications in mammographies
We have been developing MammoAssist, a project that suggests creating a tool capable of helping professionals in the early diagnosis of breast cancer, through the automatic detection of microcalcifications in mammographies.
The aim is to create an API which allows extending PACScenter with third-party image processing tools. The final CAD solution will be validated by several breast cancer physicians, in several major Portuguese centers.
This solution is being developed in partnership with NEADVANCE.
PACScenter is a complete medical imaging platform for patient studies storage, visualization and sharing, enabling simple and efficient workflows.
