We are happy to announce that BMD will participate in the 20.º National Congress of the Portuguese Society of Anatomical Pathology (SPAP), on the 20th and 21st November 2025. This leading national event brings together experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals to explore innovations shaping the future of anatomical pathology. This year, we will present and highlight at the event our solution PathoBox. It is a web-based digital pathology viewer and collaboration platform, built to accelerate diagnostic workflows and enhance real-time clinical collaboration. Moreover, it was developed as part of the Health from Portugal – Agenda Mobilizadora para a Inovação Empresarial project (grant agreement No C644937233-00000047). Therefore, PathoBox is designed to enhance interoperability, efficiency, and collaboration in medical diagnostics, providing key features:
- DICOM-compliant, ensuring seamless integration across scanners and storage solutions
- Built on open-data principles, leveraging Dicoogle PACS for flexible and accessible storage
- Annotation framework for expert pathologists and AI-powered automation
- Remote access & workflow automation for improved medical practice
- Advanced reporting tools, including templates & voice-activated snippets
